At Kingdom School, we believe in strong Christian values to further equip our students for what lies ahead, outside the comfort of a home and four walls of a school. We identify the success of an individual to be closely correlated with high integrity, unparalleled confidence, being innovative and possessing strong social skills. With such strong foundation, students will be able to embrace challenges with positive attitude and optimistic view.

As a national plus institution, we utilize English language on daily basis, without neglecting the importance of Bahasa Indonesia as our national language.

1. What was the reason for choosing Kingdom School?

Every parent has different criteria in choosing school for their kids. As for me, i prefer small environment that balances academic and character building.
Teaching is a tough job, one of the hardest in the world, because it is a work of heart. During my second visit, somehow i could feel how genuine, passionate & caring the teachers are. And these qualities are exactly what I'm looking in terms of 'partner' that i could trust my kids with and to be educated by.

2. What kind of values that has been imparted to your children when they are studying in Kingdom School?

Over the years, not only they are growing academically but also spiritually. At circle time, as first thing they do every morning before lesson, kids are accustomed to seek God first before anything else.
Education not solely about intellectual , but more importantly about social-emotional development. Since pre-school, the consistency of developing godly character manner are being pursued. Over the time, i witnessed how my kids are growing strong in value of virtues.
And with such tight test schedule, my kids are trained to review the lessons periodically instead of cramming. After all, the main aim of education isn't to get straight A's. But learning how to learn is a vital life skills.

3. In what way Kingdom School has helped in both your children's academic and character development?
Everyone studies and learns a bit differently. There are 4 types of learner and each require different approach of study techniques. Every student has different abilities, thus it is important to determine what works for her/him and what doesn’t - and this is where the teacher playing crucial roles. And so that's why in lessons, they combine all elements just to make sure that every type of learner are equally covered. One day, during one of our dialogues, Gio's (my son) former K5 homeroom teacher informed me that he is a mixed of kinesthetic, audio and visual learner. Knowing this help both me and Gio to achieved a conducive learning process.
One benefit of small environment is any misconduct could be easily spotted and corrected. I believe my kids are growing in a great environment where etiquette, sportsmanship, manner, self respect, hope and faith are parts of school curriculum.

4. What gifts/interests that was honed/gained during their time in Kingdom School?
It never crossed my mind that my youngest have the potential to be a performer. She enjoy being on the stage - singing, dancing, acting and presenting.
Kingdom creates a nurturing environment in which kids can discover their talents and explore interests. Through yearly school events varieties, kids are exposed to discover their unique capabilities and skills.

5. How was the collaboration between teachers and parents during their study in Kingdom School?
Absolutely co-operative. Both principals and teachers are very responsive and undoubtedly helpful. Any problem occurred surely can be discuss between teachers and/or principal. Good communication is the key here, nobody is too busy to listen to parent's concern. Every concern is taken seriously and required action is taken immediately.
In one of my cases, since my second is kind of kinesthetic learner, somehow during retention of information he just have to move around or doing something. At first i didn't realized that in class, off course he can't do 'silly things' like when he study with me at home. I found biting marks all over his pencils, erasers are cut into pieces, broken stationaries here and there. I talked to his homeroom teacher and she kindly give permission for him to have a stress ball in his pencil case handy.
